Below are the partial results to date for the State of the CF Union survey. If you missed the survey you can take it here. See how you compare with other CF developers.
We will announce the final results on the day of President Obama's State of the Union address (Feb 12th 2013).
Note that the results are batched processed so they may not include your votes immediately. Check back in a few hours if you want to be sure.

You should have a minimum of 3000+ cfers' before you publish results. At least then it's a better snapshot of CF today.

As to the actual numbers I think it is more accurate to look at percentages rather than counts. No survey, not even pre-election polls, survey every one. Ideally we would have a random sample then the percentages of uses can be extrapolated to the whole CF population. I don't have a way to do that but this is a good sample of people who read blogs, mailing lists or have attended CF events.

Is there a specific reason to rush the survey? Why not open it up longer? Have you posted it on the Adobe forums? Have you asked Ben Nadel or Ray Camden or Ben Forta to mention the survey on their blogs?

I am not closing the survey tomorrow, just publishing the results. The survey and partial results will remain open. The reason for the deadline is the name of the survey which is tied to the State of the Union speech in congress tonight. The deadline is arbitrary and in my experience many people only respond with a deadline. The survey has been open for two weeks, which seemed like enough time.
