Getting Around

By Metro

The closest metro stop to the conference venue is Vienna/ Fairfax Metro stop on the Orange line. There will be a complimentary shuttle bus for CFUnited attendees to and from Vienna Metro Stop and Lansdowne Resort.

Plan to use the Metro in DC to get around. It is extremely easy and efficient. Purchase a day pass for $7.80 or a 7 day trip pass for $26.60. See more fare prices and how to purchase ahead of time. Get familiar with the metro maps and how to get around by visiting the metro system map.

By Air

Dulles International Airport (IAD): We would recommend arriving at IAD as it is the most convenient airport from the conference venue, its only 8 minutes from the Lansdowne Resort! There will be a complimentary shuttle bus for CFUnited attendees to and from Dulles International Airport and Lansdowne Resort from Aug 11th – 15th.

Regan National Airport (DCA): The best way to reach the conference venue after arriving at DCA is to take the metro from National Airport and take the blue line to Rosslyn, then switch to Orange line from Rosslyn to the Vienna Fairfax metro stop.
Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI): For everyone arriving at BWI, it will be quite a commute but there are several ways you can reach the conference venue…

MARC train to Metro: Note that MARC trains only run on the weekdays. Take the Penn line towards Washington, trains leave every 30 minutes and will arrive in Union Station. At Union Station you will need to switch to the Union Station Metro on the Red line to Metro Center. From Metro Center switch to the Orange line to Vienna/ Fairfax metro stop. There will be a complimentary shuttle bus for CFUnited attendees to and from Dulles International Airport and Lansdowne Resort.

Bus from BWI to Metro: Metro now offers BWI Express Metro bus service between BWI and the Greenbelt metro station. The service provides a direct connection between BWI and the Greenbelt Metro Station. The BWI Express/B30 service runs every 40 minutes, 7 days a week to the Greenbelt Metro Station, which is located on the Green Line of the Washington Metro System. Buses run 25 times each weekday and 21 times on Saturdays and Sunday, every 40 minutes. For more information call 202-637-7000 or go to www.wmata.com. After reaching the Greenbelt Metro station you will take the Green line to L’Enfant Plaza where you will switch to the Orange line to Vienna/ Fairfax metro stop. There will be a complimentary shuttle bus for CFUnited attendees to and from Dulles International Airport and Lansdowne Resort.
