CFUnited Blog

CFUnited Schedule is Officially Posted

Hello everyone!

We are very excited to announce the Schedule for CFUnited 2010.

You will notice there are still some TBA topics, and some events are still not identified, such as the BOFs and Special Events. The main thing to focus on are the presentations!

Also, for those attendees who have registered, you can now use the scheduler (when you log in). So start scheduling your sessions!!

For Saturday-only attendees, once we choose the most popular sessions, we will announce them so that you all can create your Saturday schedule!

Happy Hump Day!

Wordle for CFUnited

I saw this awesome Wordle for NCDevCon on Jim Priest's blog and wanted one for CFUnited! So, of course, I made one! (I know, I'm a copy cat)

Apologies - newsletter

My apologies to both Bob Silverberg and Aaron West!

I (Tara) was rushing and didn't realize that I forgot to change the title! So to make it clear, the newsletter's speaker spotlight is for Aaron West!

So again, my apologies!

Thanks for understanding :)

WEBSITE REDESIGN!!!!

Hello to everyone!

We are proud to present to you the amazing new CFUnited site brought to you by the awesome Stellr team!

Go ahead! Check it all out, and tell us what you think!

Besides the complete redesign of the website, you will also find some new features.

Each and every attendee can now log in, and personally edit their profile! You can upload your picture, a bio, and other attendees can comment!

We hope you all enjoy and take advantage of this fantastic feature! Use them for networking, finding a roommate, showing off your credentials, and building a presence in the community before you even arrive at CFUnited!

Also, don't forget to register for CFUnited and to book your room at the Lansdowne Resort if you haven't done so already! Keep in mind that the discounted room rates are only in effect until March 15, 2010. That means $179/night for a single, and $199/night for a double!

Check out CFUnited's new design and edit your pages!

Props to Cara for the design and to Elliott for making it all happen! We are proud to have our boy wonder also speaking at CFUnited 2010 this year. Read all about his topic!

CFUnited 2010 Registration Open

What? Registration for CFUnited 2010 is open!?!

Heck yeah. I talked to several people at CFUnited and ask "If we reduced the price, would you register tomorrow?" Enough people actually said yes. So I'm giving it a shot. Mainly because this helps us secure the venue for next year. The size of this event makes us limited to the number of venues we can occupy. If we have the deposit available early we can negotiate on room prices and more to help keep the costs down.

So please help us in this effort!

We are opening 200 tickets at $499 for the 3 day price. But we also have to cut it off September 25th. So tell your friends who didn't have the opportunity to go this year. It is more affordable than ever. Once you have your ticket, that's half the battle!

2010 will rock and you might just be surprised that we will be able to make it even better.

Oh yeah, and a special gift will be also be added to each of the first 200 registered attendees. And you know Liz's gifts can be special. ;-)

We are 90% sure the event is in August

The event will be in the MD/DC/VA area

Want to familiarize yourself with the event venue?

I'm working on the attendee packet and one of the things I'll be explaining is the venue map. I showed this sample of the how the layout is divided a few months back.
