As I have mentioned before, we weren't able to snag the free golf for everybody; however, the Lansdowne Resort was kind enough to let us raffle off a free round of golf! So here's the deal:

Send us a picture, video, or really anything of you related to golf to: newsletter(at)cfunited(dot) com, in addition to your registered name (so we know who you are!), with a subject line of: Golf Contest Submission.

Yes, it's that easy.

Only one (1) entry allowed per person. Those who would like to participate must be registered; this may be as an attendee, speaker or sponsor. Either way, the winner has to be registered for CFUnited. Please only submit if you plan to use the free round of golf! The coolest/most creative/most awesome/best submission decided by me will be chosen as the winner! All entries must be submitted by June 30, 2010 to be eligible.

The winner will receive a round of golf for a total of 4 players. The winner will be responsible for selecting the other 3 players. This prize is transferable, so if the winner changes his/her mind, they can pass it on to whomever they choose.

After the successful State of the CF Union survey, we wanted to find out more details about the state of CF hosting in 2010. Help us find out what ColdFusion hosting issues people have with this survey . We will share the summary results with everyone so that you can see how you compare with other CF developers. Additionally, everyone who completes the survey will get a copy of a 25-page report on Advanced Application and Server Troubleshooting Techniques by hosting expert Edgeweb CEO, Vlad Friedman. Thanks for your time completing this survey!

Plus we will raffle off one ticket to CFUnited (a $1049 value), two 8 Gb iPod Touches and one copy of Fusion Reactor picked at random from everyone who completes the survey. You have four chances to win something awesome!

ColdFusion Trivia Friday

In honor of CFUnited next week, I'm running a little Friday giveaway contest.

I will be asking 1 ColdFusion trivia question every 30 minutes on Twitter (@tpryan) starting Friday August 7th from 12:00PM to 2:00PM EDT. Use the Twitter hash tag #CFTFri. This will total 5 questions, and therefore 5 chances at a prize. The first person who gets a particular question right, as determined by my twitter client, gets the question's prize. Prizes are limited to one prize per person. So if you win one, you cannot win another.

Prizes will be:

Railo is giving away a ticket for CFUnited 2009 to one lucky winner in a Twitter-based competition held over the next seven days. Six runners-up will get a "Got Railo?" T shirt of their choice.

For a chance to win, all you have to do is Tweet something cool or witty about Railo!

Competition Rules:

• Entries must use the #cfunited-railo hash tag to identify them.
• The competition is open Wednesday July 15th (tomorrow) thru Tuesday 21st (seven days).
• The Railo team will pick what we think is the coolest / funniest Tweet each day.
